Care Services

Penylan Residential Hotel has capacity for up to 15 service users, and provides both general residential and dementia residential care on both a permanent and respite basis. We can also facilitate end-of-life care where possible, and in collaboration with the appropriate clinical teams. Our service fees align with Cardiff Council rates and we do not charge top-up fees. Whether an individual is with us for a short stay or long-term, we endeavour to show them personalised, quality care with the highest standard of service.

How we deliver care

Unique and individualised care plans are created for every service user. These care plans are reviewed on a regular, rolling basis and take into consideration important factors such as the person's own wishes/choices, medical recommendations, family input and internal feedback. The care and support we offer is adaptable and will adjust as the needs and wishes of our service users change.

Step 1

Respecting People's Rights and Wishes

Upholding our resident's dignity is at the core of our care. We safeguard people's rights and do our best to respect their choices, in a way that supports their health and wellbeing.

Step 2

Preserving Quality of Life

We provide supportive routines and varied enrichment activities in a warm and friendly environment. We want our residents to feel that they are still living their lives to their fullest potential. We feel it is important that our residents still feel as independent as possible.

Step 3

Person-Centred Approach

It is our strong belief that when it comes to care, one size does NOT fit all. Our care plans are unique to every individual, and are tailored to each resident's needs and wishes. Our care is flexible and adaptable, to cater to a person's changing needs.

Step 4

Keeping Family Connected

Keeping family involved in their loved one's care is something we strongly encourage at the Penylan Residential Hotel. We like to foster and maintain open communication between our team and the families and loved ones of our residents.

Keeping You Close

Family input is an important part of our care, and we do our best to keep our resident's loved ones involved in their day-to-day lives.
  • Family get regular updates on their loved ones. From photos/videos of their day, to keeping you informed of any change in our care plan – transparency is key.
  • We keep in touch through a variety of means. We want families to know that we are available whenever they need us.
  • We strongly encourage loved ones to come and visit our residents and join us during activities and outings.
